ANGUISH
The book on the shelf
darkened with age
no name on it's cover
plucked down in rage
pages ripped out
lifelines spread on the floor
her mother on the bed
darkened with age
love was a game
played out, a no win
her life a book on the shelf
with no name on it's cover
the loveless lines of a child
with a indifferent mother
